A relaxed full-day private loop through the sheltered water of the Split archipelago, with no open-Adriatic crossing. The sea here stays comfortable even when the maestral is up, which is why this is the day we put families on.
From Split you drop south to Milna on Brač, a baroque harbour village built around one of the best natural harbours on the Adriatic, founded in the seventeenth century and grown on shipbuilding. Long enough for a coffee on the waterfront and a wander.
The first swim is a few minutes further on, in a hidden bay next to Milna with no road down to the water, so the only people in it arrived the same way you did.
Then west across the channel to Stomorska on Šolta, the prettiest village on the island's east coast: a narrow stone harbour lined with konobas. Ashore for a look around, or anchored off it for another swim, whichever your group wants on the day.
The main swim is the Blue Lagoon at Drvenik. Knee-deep white sand shallows and water clear enough that the boat looks like it is floating on air. Ninety minutes, snorkelling gear on board.
The day finishes in Trogir, a UNESCO old town founded in the third century BC, with its marble cathedral square and bell tower, before the calm cruise home through the Kaštela channel.

Where we meet
On a private charter both the meeting point and the start time are flexible and agreed with you when you book. The default is the Split Sign on the Riva, the big letters on the waterfront; tell us where you are staying and when you would like to leave, and we will meet you at the nearest marina or pier we can reach, at the hour that suits your day.
The day does not have to end where it started, either: a private boat can drop you in Hvar with your luggage, tour and transfer in one.

The boat you actually sail on
Big, comfortable and built for the crossing
Every route runs on a 36-foot day-cruiser, a Mercan Excursion or an Enzo, with twin 480hp diesels underneath. Wide hull, deep sides, a hardtop over the cockpit and a proper sundeck at the stern. This is not a rib.
The difference shows on the open water to Biševo. A small boat spends that ninety minutes throwing spray at everyone behind the skipper. You arrive dry, warm and still in the mood to swim, which is the entire point of leaving at seven in the morning.
We cap every departure at twelve guests on a boat with room for more, so there is space to move between the shade at the front and the sun at the back. The safety kit is identical on each boat and goes through the same check before every departure: life jackets in adult and child sizes, EPIRB, VHF radio, flares and extinguishers.

Minimum age is 4. Not recommended for: pregnant guests.
When does the season run?
April – November. Sea temperature climbs through June and stays swimmable into October; the shoulder months are quieter on the water and cheaper ashore.
