A private boat tour from Split to Brač, Hvar, the Pakleni Islands and Šolta. The day runs from 08:30 to around 17:30, the whole boat is yours, and it takes up to 12 guests for €1,100. The tour starts with a visit to Milna on the island of Brač, a small traditional fishing town built around what is one of the best natural harbours on the Adriatic. It was founded in the 17th century by the Cerinić family, grew on shipbuilding, and the baroque parish church still stands over the waterfront where the boats tie up. It is a good place for a relaxed morning look around and a coffee. From there it is a short run to a quiet, hidden swimming spot just off Milna. We then head to the tuna farms, followed by the military tunnels on Brač, a submarine shelter cut into the rock where you can also swim and snorkel. After exploring Brač we continue to Hvar Town on the island of Hvar, where you have free time to explore at your own pace. Hvar spent centuries as a Venetian naval base, and the town still shows it. The Pjaca is one of the largest squares in Dalmatia, with St Stephen's Cathedral at the head of it and the Arsenal at the harbour end, which houses a theatre opened in 1612 and among the oldest municipal theatres in Europe. Above the roofs sits the Fortica fortress, rebuilt in the 16th century after an Ottoman raid, and worth the climb for the view back over the Pakleni archipelago. On the way in you also get a panoramic ride through those islands. After Hvar we can take you to a great local restaurant right by the sea, about a ten-minute boat ride away. On the way back we stop at the island of Šolta for more swimming and snorkelling before the run home to Split. All of these stops are flexible. Because this is a private tour, the route is adjusted to your preferences and to how long you want to spend at each place: more time in the water, less time in town, or the other way round. We also know many great spots that are far less crowded than the ones most boats go to. What is included: a professional skipper and sailor, fuel, mooring fees, snorkelling gear, cold drinks and full insurance. Lunch at the restaurant and anything you buy ashore are not included. At 12 guests the boat works out at €100 per person.

Itinerary
Milna, island of Brač
~45–60 minA baroque stone harbour on Brač's western tip that has been a working fishing port since the 16th century and still is. One street, boats tied where they have always been tied, and none of the resort machinery of the bigger island towns.
Mrduja, the islet in the channel
~60 minA bare rock in the channel between Brač and Šolta, too small to land on and too far off the ferry lines for anyone to bother. We anchor off it for an hour. The water is deep and clear enough to see the bottom drop away, and there is usually nothing else out here but us.
Tuna farms off Brač
~10 minCircular pens moored in open water holding bluefin tuna. Ten minutes of looking, and it surprises almost everyone: this is the fish that built much of the working economy of this coast, and you rarely get to see it alive.
Military tunnels, Brač
~30 minA submarine pen cut straight into the cliff, large enough to take a vessel whole and left exactly as the navy abandoned it. The boat goes inside. It is cold, echoing and silent. You can swim and snorkel here as well, which surprises most people who have just seen the entrance.
Pakleni Islands
~25 minA run through the pine-covered archipelago just off Hvar: twenty-one islets, narrow channels and water clear enough to read the bottom. Sightseeing rather than an anchor stop, with the skipper picking the passage that is calmest that hour.
Hvar Town
~60 minAn hour ashore on the marble Pjaca and the harbour, with the Fortica fortress above the town. Long enough to walk it properly and have a coffee; short enough that the day does not turn into a town visit.
Optional lunch at a seaside restaurant
~optionalA proper restaurant on the water about ten minutes past Hvar by boat, the kind of place that is awkward to reach any other way. Entirely optional: say so in the morning and the skipper will book it.
Gornja Krušica, island of Šolta
~45 minThe last swim, in a sheltered cove on the eastern end of Šolta, facing the channel toward Brač, where the land cuts the afternoon maestral and the water stays flat and warm. It sits almost exactly on the line home, so it costs no extra cruising time.

The boat you actually sail on
Big, comfortable and built for the crossing
Every route runs on a 36-foot day-cruiser, a Mercan Excursion or an Enzo, with twin 480hp diesels underneath. Wide hull, deep sides, a hardtop over the cockpit and a proper sundeck at the stern. This is not a rib.
The difference shows on the open water to Biševo. A small boat spends that ninety minutes throwing spray at everyone behind the skipper. You arrive dry, warm and still in the mood to swim, which is the entire point of leaving at seven in the morning.
We cap every departure at twelve guests on a boat with room for more, so there is space to move between the shade at the front and the sun at the back. The safety kit is identical on each boat and goes through the same check before every departure: life jackets in adult and child sizes, EPIRB, VHF radio, flares and extinguishers.
