Who we are
Blue Cave Tours is run by salty adventures d.o.o., OIB 57652393339, registered at Antofagaste 10, 21000 Split, Croatia. We run speedboat day trips from Split, and we are the controller of the personal data you give us on this site. You can reach us at booking@blue-cave-tours.com or on +385 95 557 3110.
To run a booking, we pass your data to service providers who process it on our behalf: a reservation system that also schedules our boats and crews, a card payment provider, an e-mail delivery service and, as described below, analytics services (Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie banner).
What data we collect
- Booking data: name, email, phone, tour date, group size, special requests, payment information processed by Stripe. Necessary to actually run the booking.
- Contact form: name, email, phone (optional), message.
- Analytics: page views and traffic source, page speed measurements and completed bookings (no personal data), counted with Plausible, which sets no cookies. If you click Accept in the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 runs as well. Decline and Google Analytics never loads.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We don't run ad-targeting pixels.
- We don't share your contact details outside the booking/operations chain.
- We don't store credit card numbers. Stripe handles that.
How long we keep it
Booking records: 7 years (Croatian accounting requirements). Contact form messages: 2 years. Google Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account, if you opted in. After that, deleted.
Your rights
Under GDPR you can ask us to: see what we have on you, correct it, delete it, or export it. Email booking@blue-cave-tours.com and we'll respond within 30 days. No forms, no friction.
Cookies
Your choice in the cookie banner is saved in your browser's local storage (salty-cookie-consent-v2), not in a cookie. Use "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page to clear it and choose again.
We count visits with Plausible, which sets no cookies. Google Analytics 4 loads only after you click Accept, and it sets cookies whose names start with _ga, which can stay in your browser for up to 400 days. Decline and it never loads.
Stripe, our payment provider, loads when you start a booking and may set cookies for payment security and fraud prevention (__stripe_mid, __stripe_sid).
The maps on tour pages come from OpenStreetMap, so your browser asks OpenStreetMap's servers for the map tiles and they see your IP address. A Google map loads only if you click "Show Google map"; then Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
